David Stephen, 47, had previously admitted that between December 11, 2008, and July 31, 2010, he took or permitted to be taken or made indecent photos or pseudo photos of children.
A total of 44 images were found on his hard drives.
Fiscal depute Elaine Ward previously told Aberdeen Sheriff Court of the images found, 21 were level one – the least severe – four were level two, 14 at level three, three at level four and two at level five, the most serious.
Stephen, whose address was given in court papers as 91 Gray Street, Aberdeen, was given a three-year Community Payback Order by Sheriff Graham Buchanan, who also placed him on the sex offenders’ register.
Stephen was also ordered to take part in the Joint Sex Offender Project as well as carry out 150 hours of unpaid work.
