Protestors take to the streets to demand that sexting MP Andrew Griffiths stands down

Jessica Eaton (left), an international researcher, writer and speaker on the forensic psychology of sexual violence, organised the protest (right) in Burton, Staffordshire, yesterday afternoon. Ms Eaton was joined by Mr Griffith’s former colleague Councillor Deneice Florence-Jukes, and Jaimi Shrive, women’s officer for Burton Labour Party. It comes after Mr Griffiths (inset), Prime Minister Theresa May’s former chief of staff, resigned as Minister for Small Business on July 13 when it was revealed he had been sexting barmaids almost 20 years his junior. Some of messages asked the women to beat each other, while he referred to himself as ‘daddy’.
