Kenneth Clarke has resigned as Minister Without Portfolio, Downing Street announced late this afternoon. Investigative Journalist Ben Fellows had accused Mr Clarke of sexualy assulting him in a lobbyists office twenty years ago. Operation Fernbridge is still investigating and has questioned Mr Clarke in an informal interview which took place last year regarding the allegations.
There is mounting speculation both online and in the mainstream media that Mr Clarke will shortly be arrested as allegations grow surrounding his alleged involvement in the Elm Guest House Scandal which is at the centre of a political paedophile ring.
During the Prime Minister’s visit to Lanzarote this Easter, where Ben Fellows is currently living, Ben called on the Prime Minister to sack Mr Clarke and allow the Police to question him. Officers from Operation Fernbridge told Ben that they were unable to arrest Mr Clarke because as a Cabinet Minister he is above the law.
In a recent interview on The Lou Collins Radio show, when asked about the Prime Minister’s visit to Lanzarote, Ben said “Not everything is at it seems and the situation will become clear”
Ken Clarke’s shock resignation means that now he is out of government, he can be arrested and questioned as any other member of the public regarding his alleged invlovement in the West Minister paedophile ring, which is currently shaking the governments foundations.
