Paedophile jailed for seven years for offences in 1980s

A CEFNLLWYD man has been
sentenced to seven years in prison after admitting 10 charges of
assaulting a young girl and encouraging her to carry out acts of gross
Robert Vincent, 58, of
Gwynfa, Cefnllwyd, near Penrhyncoch, had admitted at Aberystwyth
Magistrates’ Court in August five charges of indecent assault and five
charges of inciting gross indecency against a girl under the age of 14.

heard that all of the offences were against the same girl, who cannot
be named for legal reasons, and were committed over a five-year period
in the 1980s.
After sentencing was passed to Swansea Crown Court
because of the seriousness of the offences, Vincent appeared in front of
Judge Paul Thomas QC on Tuesday, 19 October, where he was imprisoned
for seven years.
The judge also sentenced Vincent to an extra year on licence.
