Pervert pensioner Ian Foster – the married man who met several victims through pimp Amanda Spencer – was branded an ‘arrogant and determined paedophile’ yesterday by a judge who jailed him for 14 years.
Foster, aged 68, of Peckham Road, High Green, Sheffield, was convicted of indecently assaulting three of the victims at his former home in Gleadless Valley.
He was also sentenced for child sex offences relating to seven victims from a previous trial – which included six counts of sexual activity with a child, five of causing or inciting a child to engage in sexual activity, and one of engaging in sexual activity with a child, dating back to 2003.
Judge Murphy said Foster – who swore at the court as he was led away from the dock – had ignored abduction notices banning him from contact with under 16s.
“Your malevolent presence has permeated this investigation,” he said. “Your involvement with 10 children was not out of the goodness of your heart – what you did was to groom them so you could exploit them and abuse them sexually.
“The sentences have to be commensurate with the evil you have shown.”
Det Chief Insp Bob Chapman said afterwards: “Twelve years for Spencer and 14 for Foster reflect the severity of the offences before the court. They got exactly what they deserved.”
