She
said: ‘We thought that Arthur had intended to cycle to school as it is
not unusual for him to go on long cycle rides as he enjoys sport and
exercise.
‘However he never arrived at school.
‘Evidence suggests that he intended to leave and this seems out of character for Arthur as he has never skipped school before.’
She added: ‘He comes from a stable family background and he is mature for his age.
‘However we, his family and the police would like to emphasise his vulnerability as a 15-year-old.’
Police said Arthur, from Membury, near Axminster, Devon, is white, 5ft 4in tall, with a slight build and short light brown hair.
When he was last seen he was wearing his school uniform and carrying a black rucksack.
Arthur’s family have also taken to social media in a bid to help find him, and revealed they have received a letter from him.
Anna Drew revealed on Facebook: ‘His parents received a letter from him today.
‘Obviously he is only 15 and in a vulnerable position so please continue to share and get in touch if you have any news.’
