‘I was tired of looking at him’: Mother’s chilling 911 call reveals she killed her two-year-old son by strangling him 

  • Katlyn Kinateder, 27, is charged with first-degree intentional homicide

Police in Wisconsin have released the audio of a 911 call in which a mother admits to the murder of her two-year-old son.
The chilling phonecall was made by 27-year-old Katlyn Kinateder on August 4 from inside her Sheboygan Falls home.
Kinateder can be heard telling the operator: ‘I killed my son.’
When the operator asks how she killed the boy, Kinateder replies: ‘I strangled him.’ 
Kinateder adds: ‘I think I’ve lost my mind.’
Kinateder later told detectives she was ‘was tired of looking at him’, police said.

Sheboygan Falls Police said they were dispatched to an apartment on Woodiew Avenue. 
Upon entering the apartment, officers were confronted by a woman armed with a knife, according to the complaint obtained by Fox 6 News.
The woman was standing at the top of the main stairway leading to her apartment. 
Sheboygan Falls Police drew their firearms and ordered her to drop the knife.
The complaint states the woman began to descend the stairs still holding the knife.
When
she reached the outside walkway, she put the knife on the ground and
obeyed officers’ commands to walk away from the knife and lay on the
ground.
She was then tased and handcuffed.

Police then searched the apartment for the little boy.
Officials say he was found inside a cardboard box that been put in a hallway closet, stacked below two other cardboard boxes.
The boy, named Dexter Kinateder, was pronounced dead in hospital. 
During an interview with detectives, Kinateder admitted to killing her child.
While
in the 911 she is hard saying she strangled the boy, Kinateder
reportedly told police she placed a plastic bag over his head and
suffocated him.  
She also said she came at officers with the knife because she wanted them to ‘shoot her dead’.
Kindateder
has been charged with one count of first degree intentional homicide,
and one count of moving, hiding, burying the corpse of a child
Sheboygan
Falls Police Chief Steven Riffel told reporters on Friday the officers
involved in this case were wearing body cameras.
