Ferryhill After-School club blasted for potentially putting children at risk
AN AFTER-SCHOOL club in Aberdeen has been blasted by care inspectors for “failing to respect” children and potentially putting their health “at risk”.
Enforcement action was taken against Aberdeen City Council following a surprise inspection at Ferryhill After-School Club.
And local authority chiefs today insisted they were working to fix the issues raised, and had installed a new manager in charge.
A council spokesperson said: “Aberdeen City Council is committed to providing quality childcare.
“Since notification of the inspection findings last month, council staff have been working with the Care Inspectorate to address the issues raised and to secure the necessary improvements.
