A MAN has been found not guilty of murdering a North-east dad.

Jonas Marcius, 23, was on trial at the High Court in Aberdeen charged with murdering dad-of-one Craig Grant.
Marcius was alleged to have seized the 26-year-old by the neck, forced him to the ground, struck him in the head and body, placed him in a neck or choke hold and compressed his neck.
The offence was alleged to have happened at Aberdeen’s Tonik bar on August 8 or 9 last year.
Marcius, whose address was given in court as 16A Merkland Road, Aberdeen, denied the charge against him.
Today a jury confirmed they found Marcius not guilty of murder, instead finding him guilty of assaulting Mr Grant.
Lady Wolffe deferred Marcius’ sentence until January 14 for the preparation of a criminal justice social work report.
