The comedian had his ITV2 show On The Pull’ cancelled yesterday – now his UK dates have also been cancelled

The comedian behind Dapper Laughs says he will NEVER perform as the controversial character again.
Daniel O’Reilly revealed tonight that he is retiring the character after complaints he glorifies misogyny.
It emerged tonight Dapper Laughs’ UK tour has been cancelled – about 24 hours after ITV2 axed his show ‘On The Pull’ .
Speaking to Newsnight, Mr O’Reilly said: “It was a type of comedy that I should not have been doing.
“I am not going to do what maybe other comedians would do and stand behind it and say ‘if you do not like it then switch off’. I do not agree with it. It was a shame that it went so far.”
When asked what the future holds for Dapper Laughs, he replied: “Dapper Laughs is gone.”

Thousands of people signed a petition calling on ITV to pull the programme featuring the YouTube and Vine star.
Pressure increased after MirrorOnline unearthed a video in which Dapper Laughs, real name Daniel O’Reilly, made light of rape.
Video from a recent performance at London Scala shows him telling a female audience member: “She’s gagging for a rape.”
Earlier today, a spokesperson for Academy Music Group (AMG) – which owns and operates live venues – said the company was considering the future of Dapper Laughs ‘Full Length’ live tour in light of recent critcism.
And this afternoon, AMG confirmed all 12 dates on the tour have now been cancelled.
An AMG spokesperson said: “As a major UK venue operator we regularly host events of varying styles and content in music and comedy.

“In light of the cancellation of the second series of the Dapper Laughs ITV2 show and significant criticism, Dapper Laughs (Daniel O’Reilly) has himself apologised for any offence caused by his material, and we are aware that Dapper Laughs’ brand of comedy may not be to everyone’s taste.
“We are in discussions with the promoter of the tour, who book the venues for these live events, to carefully consider what content is suitable.
This follows a rumoured book deal with Hodder & Stoughton falling through, according to the Bookseller.

Writing in Mirror Online, Martin Daubney, the former editor of Loaded magazine, said: “The most uncomfortable truth about Dapper isn’t his rape jokes. It’s the fact he’s a superannuated version of his audience.
“Dapper is a mirror held up to an increasingly prevalent branch of modern masculinity: a ghoulish, fairground mirror perhaps, but what stares back is the face of millions of British men who spend their time hunched over their computers, trolling women and wallowing in porn.”
The alter ego Dapper Laughs rose to fame on the back of his Vine videos, offering “lad advice on romancing the ladies and being a geeza”.
In his videos he can be seen yelling sexual comments at women on the street or from his car as he drives past.
Controversial comments include: “Just show her your penis. If she cries, she’s just playing hard to get” and “If she’s looking at me and playing with her hair, by the end of the night she’ll need a wheelchair.”
Daneil O’Reilly is in constant communication with his management to ensure his wellbeing, Mirror Online believes.
