According to Anthony Daly`s Playland book, the ‘Bloody Sunday’ incident in Derry took place because Heath was being blackmailed.
The military establishment was absolutely determined to mount a show of force there, as tit believed that the IRA`s tactics were making the British Army look weak.
Heath, wisely as it turned out, at first refused to support this action because he felt that things could easily go badly wrong.
Then he was shown evidence of his conduct with young boys.
He gave the military the go-ahead.
