Brian Parker held his head in his hands as CCTV of the assault was played at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court this week, where his behaviour was described by Sheriff Alastair Watson as “utterly disgraceful”.
The court watched footage of Parker, who appeared in the dock from Kilmarnock prison, brutally punch and push the 48-year-old woman who was described by the prosecutor as “vulnerable as a result of learning difficulties.”
The victim, who was holding a guitar while standing on the train, lost her balance as Parker, 49, punched her on the body before walking along the carriage.
However, seconds later, Parker emerged again and assaulted her for a second time.
He pleaded guilty to the assault which took place on August 1.
Parker had boarded the train in Ardrossan at around 9.20pm after consuming alcohol with a woman on the railway platform.
Ex-Tory minister ‘pictured in child sex abuse video’ confiscated by customs at Dover in 1982
A probe by the Sunday People and investigative website Exaro uncovered evidence the tape is believed to be among a batch of films seized and handed to MI5
A former Tory cabinet minister was pictured in a video allegedly featuring child sex abuse, it has been claimed.
The tape is believed to be among a batch of films seized by customs officials and handed over to MI5, reports the Sunday People.
No details about it have ever been made public.
But the customs officer who seized the haul is said to have identified the ex-minister in the footage.
However, he declined to say whether or not the politician was participating in the alleged child abuse.
A probe by the Sunday People and investigative website Exaro has uncovered evidence that the cassette was confiscated at Dover in 1982.
A seizure notice shows a customs officer took custody of three 8mm films, three video cassettes and an order form.
The notice said the items were “seized as liable to forfeiture upon the grounds that the said goods are indecent or obscene articles”.
Friends of the customs officer, now retired, have confirmed he told them this week that he recognised the minister in the film – but would not say anything else after his former bosses reminded him he had signed the Official Secrets Act.
This week the officer was too frightened even to open his front door, and said he was unwilling and unable to comment.
He said: “I am bound by all these regulations until I die.”
The existence of the video is likely to be seized upon by Operation Fernbridge cops investigating claims of a historical VIP sex abuse ring.
They are understood to have already spoken to the ex-minister about another video that places him at a sex party involving teenage boys three decades ago.
Now they are expected to speak to the customs officer.
The video was seized at Dover’s Eastern Car Terminal along with other child pornography.
It was being brought into Britain from Amsterdam by Russell Tricker, a British-born businessman based in the Dutch capital. He was held for two hours and officials confiscated the tape.
The customs officer then passed the case over to senior managers at Customs and Excise – since reorganised as part of HM Revenue and Customs.
They took no further action against Mr Tricker, and are understood to have passed the tape to MI5 .
The seizure notice gave brief details of some of the material, showing one of the videos was titled “GB10”.
A child abuse victim has told Exaro that this video showed boys, some of them “runaways”, who could be “ordered” by paedophile clients.
Another video was called “Amsterdam Tramway Museum” and featured images of boys from elsewhere in Europe who could be procured by perverts.
The video started with a few minutes of train footage before turning to pornographic images of boys.
Mr Tricker confirmed he was stopped by customs officials when travelling through Dover as a passenger in 1982.
But he claimed he did not know what was inside the sealed packages.
He said: “I have nothing to hide. I was asked to take some brown envelopes to England. They were seized by Customs. I did not know what was inside them.”
Mr Tricker said a business associate had asked him to take the packages into the country and then post them to an address in the UK.
Asked whether he was aware of claims that an ex-minister and child sex abuse featured on one of the videos, Tricker denied any knowledge of the content.
“They were just confiscated, and I was allowed to continue my journey. They detained me for two hours,” he said.
Mr Tricker confirmed he was convicted of a child sex offence in the Netherlands in 1992 and jailed for two-and-a-half years, but said he was cleared on appeal and released after five months.
His lawyers were able to show that the boy concerned had carried a false identity card and had pretended to be above age, Mr Tricker said.
The boy was later shot dead in Amsterdam, he said.
“It is a sad story,” he added.
Tricker denies being a paedophile but confirmed he was a personal friend of Peter Glencross, who was commercial manager of Spartacus International.
At the time, Spartacus International was used to attract new members to the Spartacus Club, an underground network for paedophiles.
A mum is to stand trial accused of neglecting and killing her teenage daughter.
Sharon Goldie, 44, is accused of causing the death of Robyn Goldie at their home in Wishaw, Lanarkshire.
Schoolgirl Robyn was 13 when she passed away on July 26, 2018.
Goldie pled not guilty during a hearing at the High Court in Glasgow.
Lord Burns today set a trial, which is expected to start in August.
Prosecutors first allege Goldie ill-treated the teenager and “exposed her to unnecessary suffering or injury to health”.
This includes claims Goldie spat on Robyn, failed to provide her with proper food, clothing and heating as well as allow her to drink alcohol and smoke cannabis.
Robyn is said to have been subjected to “unhygienic living conditions” causing her to contract fleas.
The girl is further alleged to have been locked in the property and that Goldie did not ensure she went to school or had an “adequate sleep pattern”.
Goldie is then accused of the culpable homicide of her daughter.
The charge states the mum repeatedly failed or stopped Robyn getting suitable medical help or treatment.
The schoolgirl is said to have developed peritonitis – an infection of the stomach – caused by a perforated duodenal ulcer.
Robyn is said to have died at their house.
The charges span between July 12, 2017 and the day of Robyn’s death.
Goldie – who still lives at the home her daughter died in – was bailed meantime.
East Kilbride dad-of-three jailed for attempted rape of schoolgirl, 13, while he was supposed to be looking after her
AN EAST Kilbride dad has been jailed for attempting to rape a 13-year-old schoolgirl.
Nicholas Craig, pounced on the youngster as he looked after her at a house in the Lanarkshire town on March 15 2017.
Giving evidence, the girl, who cannot be named for legal reasons, told the court Craig was looking after her while her mum was working.
She was not present at the High Court in Glasgow, but a video interview given to a social worker and policewoman was played to the jury.
The Daily Record reports she sobbed as she said: “He asked me to give him a hug. He was hugging and kissing and touching me. I didn’t know what was happening, he pulled down his trousers.
“I was a bit shocked and a bit scared as well. He lay down on the bed with me. I was facing down. I didn’t know what had happened. I was in shock and I was upset.”
She was asked how Craig was and answered: “He carried on as if it was a normal thing to do,” and added: “I just jumped up and said ‘I’m going for a shower’ and walked out.”
The girl said: “I was in the shower for 30 minutes.”
She contacted a friend on Snapchat, and told the court: “She was asking me what was wrong.”
The girl was asked: “Were you upset?” She replied: “Yes, I was crying.”
She added: “My friend told me to tell my mum.”
The court was told cops were called and clothes and underwear worn by the girl at the time were taken away for forensic examination.

Craig – a dad of three – was also convicted of making or recording a moving image of him touching a woman’s buttocks on one occasion on August 5, 2013.
He admitted making a recording of the 13-year-old girl’s buttocks and had touched her buttocks.
Craig, of Dunlop Tower, did not give evidence but he denied attempting to rape the girl and making the recording of the woman’s buttocks.
He was remanded in custody and will be sentenced by Judge Tom Hughes on February 25.
