Residents praised for their quick thinking

A 50-year-old man has been arrested and charged after the attempted abduction of two girls in Falkirk on Friday afternoon.

 

Police in Scotland were called to the town’s Glenburn Road at about 16:50, after members of the public raised the alarm that something untoward was going on.

 

The man is expected to make his first appearance at Falkirk Sheriff Court on Monday.

 

A police spokesperson – Jo Jollie said: “We appreciate that this was a very concerning incident for the local community and we are treating this with the utmost seriousness.

 

“I’d urge anyone who was in the area around this time that hasn’t spoken to officers and may be able to help with the investigation to contact us.”
